Hand-made Morale Patch Boards | Father/Son Business

July 5, 2024 By Thad Forester

Our boys are always drawing gear, weapons, shoes, etc. and have wanted to start a business for a few years. We finally found something that we can do b/c we already make these patch boards for ourselves.

We thought Etsy would be the best and simplest place to sale our custom products. You can visit our store here:

https://jupiterpatchboards.etsy.com

This is a perfect gift for anyone in or retiring from the military, law enforcement, gov contractor, Boy Scouts, or a military family. We are a Gold Star Family and have collected many morale/tactical/unit/club patches over the years. Our boys and I use this board to display our patches and to easily swap them out on our caps, backpacks, vests, packing cubes, and kit bags.

We plan to offer different sizes, colors and patch board stands in the future, along with custom patches.

Below is a short video showing the boards being made by the boys and the finishing touches by me.

This .25″ x 12″ x 24″ wooden board is coated with clear shellac wood finish and is made to lean up on a shelf or be mounted to the wall (mounting hardware and patches not included).

Comes with black loop velcro tape applied on one side for easy attachment of patches of any size with a hook back side.

First Jupiter Patch Board Sale

By supporting our Etsy store, you are supporting very young entrepreneurs who are pumped to sell their product(s) online.

Here is our Etsy store link: https://jupiterpatchboards.etsy.com

We hope your enjoy your board because we not only make them, but use them in our home.

Another use for patches–and this one below is our custom patch, perfect for missionaries and/or church:

The patch in the video above is available in our Etsy store too: https://jupiterpatchboards.etsy.com

1000 YouTube Subscribers

July 25, 2018 By Thad Forester

Thank you for all the subscribes on my YouTube Channel.  Most of the videos of from my podcasts interviews, which are also easily found on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, Google Play and most all other platforms (links located on right side of page).  But, for some reason, people use the YouTube channel as well.

Hitting 1000 subscribers is nothing for many people, but for me and my limited content, I’m pretty pleased.

If you want to follow the crowd, check out my YouTube channel here.

Patriot to the Core is now on Patreon

July 30, 2017 By Thad Forester

patreon-supportI’ve been doing my podcast for well over a year now and still love interviewing so many interesting people.  The only problem is since I’m a part-timer, my time and funds are limited.

I discovered Patreon thru a podcast and website that I follow, “ITS Tactical“.  After investigating Patreon, I realized this is a good opportunity to connect with a group of people who may want to support my podcast.  And in return, they’ll get something a little extra that non-patrons don’t have access too.

What the heck is Patreon?

I thought the same thing a few weeks ago.  Basically it’s a platform for creators to make money, run their creative businesses, and connect with the fans who matter most.  Bottom line, I provide content you like (hopefully), and you have the opportunity to financially support on a monthly basis–for very small amount of money.

There are different tiers for supporting – Patriot, Blue Patriot, and Red Patriot.  You can read all the details here.

What do I want to do with the funds?

First, I need upgrades; improved logo, equipment, website that is more functional and more.

What do you get in return?

Depending on the type of rewards you sign up for, it would be from getting links to podcasts before they release to public, opportunity to ask questions to guests, get a signed copy of my book “My Brother in Arms“, etc.

I’ll do all I can to make your support worth it.  Interviewing for Patriot to the Core is something I love doing.

You need this

It’s not easy for me to even take this approach, but since Patreon has become so popular, it makes sense to join their cause so I can hopefully get others to support my cause.

I’d appreciate it if you considered supporting the podcast so I can continue to bring you quality content.  You’ll even get a little thank you video from me if you do.  Doesn’t that sound worth it?

Exciting New Venture

August 7, 2016 By Thad Forester

Patriot to the Core

I’m very excited to launch my podcast called Patriot to the Core.  I’ve thoroughly enjoyed interviewing these great Americans and look forward to all those upcoming conversations.  I don’t think anyone will get as much satisfaction from the interviews as I do, but I sure hope many come close because I want to see this podcast well-received and grow.

I think this podcast proves that not only does everyone have a story, but there are many people that are doing good in the world—both serving in the military and serving in other capacities.

For example, episode 003 is Mike Dillman who is a Vietnam Army vet.  Not only did he serve honorably, but after coming home to an ungrateful nation, he vowed to not let our veterans be forgotten so he created what is now the largest Memorial Day event on the west coast, possibly largest in the country.

Episode 002 is Michael Andrew who started a non-profit for disaster aid.  He’s always ready to deploy w/in 24 hours to anywhere in the world that’s recently been hit by a natural disaster.  His specialty is GPS tagging rural orphanages.

Plus, many more guests, which you can listen to right now via iTunes, Google Play, or thru my web site here.  A new show is released every other Monday morning.  I have guests ranging from all branches of the military, to authors, professional speakers, non-profits, athletes and maybe your neighbor down the street that you never knew donated much time or money to charitable causes.  Regardless of who the guests are, they will be Patriots—they love and serve their country and fellow man.  And they all have very interesting stories and advice for the listeners.

You will also hear from some of my brother Mark’s teammates with more in-depth descriptions of battles and events documented in his book.

I ask that you subscribe to the podcast on iTunes and/or Google Play and give it an honest rating.  I’m not a professional with a radio voice, but this is going to be authentic and sometimes the audio quality will be less than stellar, depending how the interview has to be conducted.

The logo is symbolic of Mark.  He was killed with an American flag wrapped around his chest and back armor plates.  The subdued bullet hole in his upper left chest represents the fatal shot that took his life.

Thank you for reading this post and I really appreciate you listening to the podcast.  I know there are thousands of podcasts to pick from, but when this process began many months ago, there were very few that were formatted like mine.  Now there are a few more that are similar, but I hope this one piques your interests, at least a little.

If you have suggestions or questions, please let me know, thad@patriottothecore.com
