Gripmaster

March 2, 2009

The Gripmaster is a cool hand exercise that works each finger individually.  It’s good for anyone playing sports such as tennis, golf, baseball, basketball, climbing, etc.  Not sure if it’s good for instruments like the guitar–I’m not musically inclined.  You can find it at www.activeforever.com  They have all kinds of sports and health gadgets.

I have the red (medium strength) and keep it in my truck.  It’s perfect to use while driving or sitting at a desk.  And I have felt an improvement in my tennis strokes, particularly my serves.  It’s very inexpensive and I recommend for all ages.

In current events, I hated to hear about the death of Paul Harvey.  I always enjoyed his radio shows.  I don’t know who can replace him.  He was entertaining and funny.  So, in his words, “good day”.

Any kind of exercise for your fingers is good if you are an instrumentalist. You also have to stretch them out as well though, and be wary of carpal tunnel syndrome and tendinitis …

Got something to say?
