Dear Mr. Obama

Nobama, Nobama

Vote wisely this Tuesday.
I had a post earlier about Sir Charles thinking every voter is racist (which is no surprise coming from him) and took it down because I don’t like hearing about race and talking about it much. But I want to voice a few thoughts. Someone commented on here that I must be racist because I don’t like Obama or Barkley. That is a completely ignorant and assuming statement. There are numerous reasons not to like these two, and color is not one of them. I am not going to list reasons at this time, but bottom line is I don’t like or trust Obama. Secondly, how can Obama mingle with convicted terrorists in his recent adult life and not take serious heat from the people and media? If John McCain had hung around with anyone close to that caliber, his reputation would have been thrown to the wolves. Imagine if he’d spent time with David Duke. But Obama doesn’t get the same treatment. He is not considered a racist or anti-Christian.
Pierce, what do you have to say?
Here’s a good video of the Obama National Anthem. http://www.glennbeck.com/index.php It is one of the featured videos.
Old But Classic

I still laugh when I think about this one. And remember, he’s the only one in that room responsible enough to carry that gun. At least he stayed calm afterwards.
Halloween Party at Norris’
October 18, 2008
We celebrated Jeff’s 30th birthday at his house in Birmingham last night. It was my first costume party in a long time. This is what Rozlynn and I were. We were a mix of 80’s and white trash. We were relieved to come away with the funniest costume. We had to do some shopping at Wal-Mart and Walgreens too, and some people gave us funny looks, but we enjoyed staying in character.
It was good to see some old friends: Stephen and Jill, Doug and Sarah, Cameron and Cindy, and of course Jeff and Faye.
UnAmerican Prayer
October 14, 2008
I know I’m late on this one, but I just saw a disturbing video promoting Barack Obama. I will not post a link to it here, but you can easily find it.
I’m disgusted how he is being made to seem like a ’savior’ for our country. Derek was pointing that out to me tonight. He said he wants to puke (now that’s a funny word) every time he sees it. The video tries to make everything bad that’s happened in our country seem to be George Bush’s fault. I was especially disappointed to see George (Jason Alexander) in the video, and acting like he’s praying. Sorry George, but you looked like a brainwashed fool. I wasn’t surprised to see liberals like Whoopie Goldberg and Pamela Anderson. Barry Manilow was also in there, which was a small shock. What’s Cyndi Lauper doing in it? And even though Mariah Carey was in it, I still have to have some of her Christmas music.
How can our country be at the point where someone like Obama is a serious candidate for President? I am nervous. I’m not one of those to promote ‘vote or die’, but I am one to remind Americans that it’s our right and duty to know about current events and vote intelligently. It doesn’t take much research to know who you should vote for in any election.
Derek, tell me how you really feel about this video? Joseph and Mark, I’m sure you have some comments too…
Catholic Vote
October 10, 2008
My buddy Nathan sent this to me. Note sure if it’s a popular video, but I like it. The Catholic Church isn’t telling their members who to vote for–or not directly. The video is 3:30 minutes and worth watching. If you’re not registered to vote, do so now. You still have until around October 24th.
Franklin Out At Auburn
October 8, 2008
After a horrible first half of the seaon, Tony Franklin was fired as Auburn’s Offensive Coordinator today. This shocked me and was a little disappointing because I was really enjoying Auburn’s pathetic (near the bottom of NCAA ranks) offensive numbers this year. They looked pathetic, including Chris Todd.
I do think Tubberville is a pretty good coach so I wonder why he did it now. Was he pressured after his press conference yesterday? Did Franklin’s crazy energy at practice yesterday send him over the edge? Or did Tony want out badly? Regardless, he was not liked by the Aubies.
Oh well. I really like how Alabama is playing this year, even though I was so disgusted Saturday that I left the game early (which is something I would never do before).
I love college football so it’s an exciting time to be in Tuscaloosa.
Finally OJ Gets Something
October 6, 2008
It doesn’t make up for his murders about 15 years ago, but I’m glad to see he got some form of punishment for recent acts.
