Tampa Flying the Confederate Flag

I love history and support the Sons of Confederate Veterans and their efforts to preserve some of the past that includes a pivotal point in our country’s growth.  Of course some groups and people are going to resist–nothing new.  They just need to understand the true meaning of the flag.  I should probably learn that too–actually I have a pretty good understanding of it.

You see the issue is the flag itself…the Confederate Flag flown during the civil war looks nothing like the Battle Flag (i.e. atop the General Lee). I would suspect 99% of the rednecks flying the battle flag couldn’t identify the Confederate flag if it was labeled in ink in front of them. I have no problem flying the correct flag, because no one would be offended by it because they don’t know what it looks like.

If you fly the correct flag that flew above the capitol of the confederacy there would be no issue and it stands for more than battle flag.

Yeah, that’s what’s called the ol’ Stars and Bars, correct? I started to put a picture of it in the heading when I originally posted this–and still may. Good stuff P-diddy. See, you’re good for something.
